To all Utah residents who are sick of our air pollution and a state government unwilling to act.

Last week, SLC and Odgen were the 4th and 5th worst polluted cities in the country! The Utah Physicians for a Healthy Environment (UPHE) join the Utah Moms for Clean Air, the Sierra Club and an environmental law firm, WildEarth Guardians, is holding a press conference on Monday, Dec. 19th at 2:00 pm at the Salt Lake City Main Library auditorium announcing a law suit against Rio Tinto/Kennecott for violating the Clean Air Act.  Immediately after, UPHE will present the latest medical research on the many ways that air pollution causes a broad array of diseases, chronic illness and premature death.

We will answer these questions:

1.  How is Kennecott’s expansion against the law?
2.  How much of our air pollution is Kennecott responsible for?
3.  How does air pollution affect your brain and accelerate aging?
4.  How can we reduce our air pollution with a legislature that is poised to make it worse? BE THERE!!!
