FREE Screening of the New Feature Length Documentary, YOUTH v GOV

In connection with Our Children’s Trust’s upcoming youth-led constitutional climate change lawsuit in Utah, we are excited to invite you to a FREE screening of the new feature length documentary, YOUTH v GOV. Join us for a screening of the film and learn more about the upcoming Utah case and how you can get involved!

YOUTH v GOV is the story of America’s youth taking on the world’s most powerful government. In 2015, armed with a wealth of evidence, 21 courageous young leaders filed a groundbreaking lawsuit against the U.S. government, Juliana v. United States, asserting that their federal government has willfully acted over six decades to create the climate crisis, endangering the young people’s constitutional rights to life, liberty, and property. While their case continues to make its way through the legal system, you can learn more about their journey and how a win in their case will not only make history, but will change the future. To learn more about the film, please visit YOUTH v GOV.

On Thursday, October 14th at 6:00pm (MDT), watch YOUTH v. GOV free online. Introducing the film will be Our Children’s Trust Attorneys, Andrew Welle and Amira Mikhail, along with some of the youth plaintiffs leading groundbreaking climate litigation in the upcoming Utah case and across the country. After the film, join the hosts for a brief discussion of young people’s experiences as plaintiffs suing their state governments for actions causing climate change and how you – or a young person you know – can join or support a new, upcoming constitutional climate lawsuit against the state government of Utah. To learn more in advance of the event, read about the case here.
