Mosquitoes are a big problem for the inland port

On the front page of Sunday’s Salt Lake Tribune there is an important article on an inland port issue that so far has gotten much less attention than it deserves. What to do about all the mosquitoes that inhabit the NW Quadrant? Dr. Moench is quoted saying  “the attempt to make it inhabitable for humans and an economic hub would likely involve an unprecedented use of chemicals that are biologic poisons, increasing exposure to all residents of the Salt Lake Valley, something that cannot be dismissed as safe.”

As far as mosquito pesticide spraying is concerned, the “cure” is becoming worse than the disease.
