12 Reasons to Give to UPHE
For the past 14 years, UPHE has led the charge to clean up Utah’s air pollution. We have grown from eight physicians in 2007 to 450 today, with another 4,000 members of the general public. We have shared the medical research with the media, the public, and lawmakers, and have helped make air pollution the number one issue of concern for Utah voters, according to polls taken in the last several years.
We have had many successes, even in a state where the political atmosphere has been an enormous obstacle. But the job is far from done, and new threats appear constantly. Currently, our top priorities are to stop the dirty energy inland port, prevent deterioration of our air and quality of life in the Salt Lake Valley, protect public health, and stop the contribution extracting more Utah fossil fuels has on the climate crisis.
